POLE DANCING- FINAL PAPER EDIT

INTRODUCTION: Jane started her career as an early child hood educator, but where she ended up will surprise you.
JANE INSTRUCTING HER STUDENTS AT THE FRONT OF HER CLASS
For Jane Wilson, dance has been a passion but it took a backseat, to her first career as a early childhood educator.

CLIP: What happened was, was that I was back and forth between dancing and teaching ECE. And my dance instructor said that I wasn’t good enough… and it broke my heart. So then, I knew I needed to make a living and make money, even though ece wasn’t the best paying job in the world I knew I could make a living from it. At the age of 18 I decided to do teaching – I went to Sheridan college to take my ECE and then I taught at Sheridan for 7 years. ( 30 sec)
SHOTS OF SHERIDAN AND PHOTO'S OF HER FAMILY ( before she lost her baby weight )
Jane taught for 8 years at Sheridan College and soon realized that her career and caring for her family was taking a toll on her self-esteem. ( 15 sec )
Um, after my 2nd child was born, I was teaching for Sheridan right after—and I lost my baby weight—then I put on 40 pounds… and then I was heavy and not feeling very good about my self and I had very low self-esteem. ( 20 se )
JANE AND HER STUDENTS DANCING WITH THE POLES
After taking one interesting dance class, Jane had a new outlook on her future. ( 10 sec )
"30:54:00- A girlfriend of mine took me too a pole dancing class in Burlington. And I was screaming “good Mommies, don’t pole dance, good mommies don’t pole dance .” But when I left the class, I left screaming I love this! I started to study it, and really research it. I typically thought oh this isn’t dance this is just for strippers. And then one of my friends said. “If You love it so much why don’t you open up your own studio, and teach it “41:00:00 ( 30 sec )

SHOT OF JANE OPENING UP THE STUDIO/TYPING ON THE COMPUTER AND DOING PAPER WORK
Jane opened up Aradia Fitness in Oakville 2 years ago, and the studio's popularity grew so rapidly it became hard for Jane to find balance in her life. ( 10 sec )
26:00 "The hardest part for me is balance… anyone who knows me, knows that I am always on the go- I have two kids, my husband and I teach classes during the day and at night. It is hard to make time for myself. I try to keep everything at the studio under control and my family, so I don’t get a lot of me time (30 sec )
STAND UP NATALIE :
Shot of exercise / SHOT OF MURAL SAYING " EVERYONE WOMEN IS BEAUTIFUL”
Not only do the pole dancing classes help tone and strengthen muscles, but it also has provides key benefit that is not as well known. A lot of ladies come here thinking it is just fitness—and strength building which it is and there is a lot of cardio and movement – but they don’t know about the self-esteem part. And the moves can be challenging and when you master them that is when your self-esteem rises and it goes up a lot. It is so much fun( 25) tt: 3: 25
HER TEACHING
Although she is not in a classroom, Jane's passion for teaching still makes it's way into the studio. ( 15 sec )
With ECE you are in a nurturing environment but it was also very stressful. And when people come here, it can be very stressful for some women, like for their first time and so I really try to make people feel comfortable. I am not around children anymore but I am still teaching and I am still encouraging and supporting and I still help people encourage themselves and embrace themselves. But yeah, I am still teaching.” ( 40 sec ) tt: 4:10
